The bags are now packed, and while the hotel room is still a mess, Nick and I are almost ready to head to Sydney International Airport…

Our flight from Darwin to Sydney on Sunday night/Monday morning was fairly uneventful, and we both managed to get some sleep.

We spent yesterday (Monday) shopping for last minute supplies – including a brand spanking new Olympus 8 mega pixel camera (courtesy of my parents) for me! *grin* I can’t wait to play with my new toy in the United States!

Our tickets and passports are packed, we’ve changed our AUD to the USD (at 84.02c, if only we’d exchanged money a month ago, when it was over 90.0c!), and I think we’re about ready to go. The iPods are loaded with TV shows and movies to watch, and we’ve packed plenty of games for the PSP and Nintendo DS. Our travel on toiletries are in 100mL or less bottles, all nicely sealed in a clear, resealable 1L plastic bag. My watch is set for LA time (Nick is still on Sydney time), in an effort to avoid jetlag, and we’ve packed our most precious item for this stage of the trip – “The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland 2007″.

And with that, we’re heading off!
