I want to be in Sydney already.
It probably doesn’t help that I’ve been browsing rental properties, as well as those for sale *sheepish* Nick and I can’t wait until we have a place of our own, where we are free to paint the walls as we see fit *giggle* I can’t wait to whack a deposit down on an apartment, and have a place to call home. When did I reach the point where having a mortgage excites me?

So… There’s this guy, called Jye Smith, and social-media/networking-nerdiness aside, he seems like a pretty top bloke. More importantly, I imagine he will be a household name soon enough – he’s started his own online community: The Music Blogs, which attracted over 1200 viewers on the day of its launch. Which was yesterday.
The Music Blogs already has 11 contributors/music lovers, of which I am proud to have been invited as one of them. I’m yet to post, but give me a few minutes, and I will get my name up there. This is something that you want your name asssociated with *nods* I predict big things will come of this blog.
Now. Why are you still reading my blog?? Get your butt over to The Music Blogs and have a read! There is already some great talent over there, with posts from Annik, Nathanael, Stewart Sheargold, Stuart McPhee, Katie, and of course Jye Smith.
What are you waiting for?!
Twenty-five years ago today, my parents got hitched.
“You lying bastard!” she exclaimed, thumping him across the chest.
“Wha… Huh?” Nick stirred beside her, confused.
“You left me,” she sobbed. “With a six month old baby, and another on the way…”
“Babe,” Nick hushed, “… we don’t have any children.” He looked perplexed.
“I know that!” she snapped.
“Ohhhh… wait a minute. Is Real-Kahlee getting angry at Real-Nick, for something that Dream-Nick did while we were sleeping?”
“Yes” she huffed.
“You can’t get mad at me for something I didn’t do… It was a dream!”
“I don’t care. It FELT real.”
She looked him right in the eye. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go back to sleep, hunt you down, and take you to court for everything you’re worth. I can’t believe you just left me and our children!” She rolled over and went back to sleep.
Nick patted her hand softly, and vowed that movies such as Hope Floats and Something to Talk About would no longer be hitting the DVD player for bedtime viewing.
During those last few moments before I fell asleep last night, I had some ideas for the blog this week. I discussed them at great length with my dog before drifting off to sleep. To my surprise, I actually remembered them this morning, and was quite proud of my efforts – usually I forget! I pondered some more in the shower, and then on the drive to work.
However, in typical Kahlee-style-fashion, three hours later, when I have a few spare moments, do you think I can remember these grand ideas? Nope. Nada. Nothing.
So, I shall have to come back later…
Oh – I have my CT scan this afternoon. Wish me luck! Perhaps the big scanner-thingy will trigger some creative thought?
